Almost Acoustic Christmas

The sold out 22nd annual KROQ Almost acoustic christmas begins tomorrow, Saturday December 10 and continues on Sunday. Some of the best band will be there; Young the Giant, Sublime with Rome, 311, Foster the People, Cage the Elephant, Florence and the Machine, Death Cab for Cutie, The Black Keys and lots more. This was an event I really wanted to go to but tickets were sold out as soon as they went on sale. Night 1 there will be 8 different bands playing and for night 2 there will be 10 bands. This is the event of the year what everyone was waiting for, what I was waiting for but won’t be attending

For all those that are dying to go and see all the performance but couldn’t get any tickets, time to turn that frown upside down because there will be a live webcast of the performances. It is not the same as actually being there in person but its better than not watching it at all. The LIVE webcast will start at 5:00pm tomorrow which is powered by Usteam.tv. Lights out at LAX

Wild winds hit Southern California over night. Massive destructive winds caused all the lights to go out at LAX leaving passengers stranded in the dark. Wind gust over 70miles an hour ripped through California cause lose of power and taking down trees. Thousands without power throughout the country. And one of the nations busiest airports shut down. These were the most powerful wind that California has seen in 10 years. LA Fire Department is preparing for the worst and prompting evacuations. A total of 9 states are under a wind warning.

I believe this is a very serious situation and we should all be cautious and have things prepared if something bad does happen. Wind are very strong and is causing a lot of damage to California. This morning while getting out my house many of my moms big pots were nocked over and destroyed and while driving to school I saw power lines loose and on the ground. Many trees were practically no longer standing.

Kardashian and Humphries

The drama continues, Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian are no longer together because Kris is gay. Tabloids claim that Humphries wouldn’t touch Kim after the honeymoon and he is now vowing to destroy the Kardashians. Agent forward publicist declares “completely false and ridiculous. He is not gay. ” Whether he is gay or not and yes they did split after 72 days of marriage the world does not revolve around them.

Kim and Kris should not be the top story on the news because there are way more important stories out there that are actually important and affect us. The media should put an end to these celebs stories because I’ve grown tired of them and so have many others. It’s the same story after the next with the split between kim and Kris. We should not have our focus on this nonsense because there are more important things we can talk about besides celebrities and their personal lives.

ITS BACK!!!!

Beavis and Butt-head is back with an all new season on MTV, tonight at 10pm. I cant wait to see how its going to turn out with the crazy metal heads. I resonantly watch the trailer and had a couple of laughs. I do believe this show will continue to be funny just by all the crazy things Beavis and Butt-head end up getting into. But I’m not sure if the Jersey Shore related jokes will be funny much longer. And I don’t think everyone else will find it as funny if you think about. It might even lose viewers because of this. Yeah the Jersey Shore is a show that everyone watches, well at least most of the people I know like it. But after a while the jokes get old and personally I don’t find them funny.

 

I hope the new Beavis and Butt-head has a successful season and make the viewers laugh their butts off. I think its in a good path so far because with the little that I saw on the trailer it was pretty funny. They had some Jersey shore joke like the “gym. tan. Butt-head”, “Beavis and Juice Head” , and a “Settle down Snooki” promo. Its funny at first but after so many episodes of Jersey Shore jokes will wear thin after a couple of weeks. Jersey Shore isn’t the only show Beavis and Butt-head poke jokes about. There is also Teen Mom, King of the Hill and many more. But I think their main focus is mostly on Jersey Shore.

Breaking Dawn

The deeply romantic and passionate love of the Twilight Saga worldwide phenomenon movie continues. Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1 hits theaters on November 18, 2011. What we’ve all been talking about, Bella Swan(Kristine Stewart) and Edward Cullen(Robert Pattinson) are getting married. After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they decide to give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers that she is pregnant and the fetus was way to strong for her body and was crushing her. With a near fatal childbirth, Edward finally decides to grant Bellas wish to become immortal. With the birth of their daughter Renesmee, a battle is set with the Cullens and the council vampire leaders the Volturi and also brings threats to the wolf pack.

So many Twilight fans are dying to know what happens next which I already know because I read the books. Part 1 of Breaking Dawn is almost out and you will just have to wait and see what happens to the Cullens and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) which is also in love with Bella.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was the co-founder and CEO of Apple inc. and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios and was a member of the Disney Board, has died and was 56. Jobs was the mastermind behind Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes. Despise all he has accomplished it feels like he was just getting started.

 

Jobs changed it all, house hold tools into objects we desired and the way we were entertained. “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives,” a statement by Apple’s board of directors. The world is better because of Steve Jobs. Steve Wozniak, Jobs childhood friend said ” it’s hard to imagine, in some ways, how the world would move forward without Jobs. Jobs created virtual world at our fingertips Apple which was a garage start up was turned into the most valued companies in history.

 

Steve Jobs from 2004 fought a long battle with cancer. Jobs had pancreatic cancer and chose not to reveal it at that time. Jobs also had a liver transplant from a mid-2os person. Jobs died peacefully surrounded by family members, his greatest love was his wife Laurene and his 4 kids. Steve Jobs will not be forgotten, his brilliance and extraordinary work will stay with us forever because it has changed us all.

 

When Jobs’ death was announced, Apple’s homepage on the website switched to a full-page image of Jobs with the text, “Steve Jobs 1955-2011.” Once clicking Jobs picture the text read “Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”

iPhone 4S

It’s finally here, what we’ve all been waiting for! The features for the iPhone 4S starting at $199 was released October 4 at Apples big event. You can pre-order it today, October 7 and will be available October 14th. The new and improve iPhone with so many new features. The camera has 8 megapixels, all-new optics and 1080p HD video recording. It has 2x faster performance and 7x faster graphics and also announced ‘Siri’ Specs.

Apple’s Senior Vice President of Product Marketing Phil Schiller says he wanted “devices that could really understand you; that you didn’t have to use a restricted lingo when asking for music or searching for directions.” Siri allows users to ask questions to the phone. It’s a voice recognition and has the ability to recognize any question thats being asked in many different ways. Apple made Siri as an “intelligent assistant that helps you get things done, just by asking.” What better way to get things done than by asking a question and getting a response. In a demonstration they asked Siri: “Do I need a raincoat today?” Siri responded: “it sure looks like rain today.” Siri can easily read text messages, make appointments on the calendar, and fully sync the phone without using touch.
